Year 2 : Sunnah Foods Week
In Islamic Studies, Year 2 learned about various Sunnah foods and their significance in Islam. The following week, they took part in a special Sunnah Food Week, where students explored the importance of these foods in more depth. During lunch time they had the opportunity to taste sunnah foods so this was consolidated in the lesson as students made their own sunnah food plates. This gave students insights on how to reflect on their benefits and consider how they can incorporate them into their daily lives.
Year 8 students were tasked with creating posters about the blessed wives of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). One student went above and beyond by designing an impressive leaflet style project, highlighting the key contributions and inspiring lives of the Mothers of the Believers.
Year 7 worked in groups to create posters presenting different proofs of the truth of Islam. Some groups focused on the miraculous nature of the Arabic language in the Qur’an, while others explored the miracles mentioned in Islamic teachings. One group produced an insightful poster featuring statements from non Muslim scholars and academics regarding the Qur’an, demonstrating thoughtful research and strong teamwork.
