Each month the school will focus on the life of the companions of Rasulullah ﷺ. The aim of this initiative is to help our students develop love for the Sahabah, learn from their examples, and feel inspired by their courage, humility, and devotion to Allah.

The Sahabi chosen for the month of January is Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه

Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه was one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and was a young, highly respected cousin of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, known as the “Ocean of Knowledge” (Hibr al-Ummah) for his unparalleled expertise in Quranic exegesis, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), hadith, and Arabic, becoming a leading scholar who mentored even senior companions and caliphs

This month, all students are focusing on importance of knowledge and dedication to learning, Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه life is a perfect example of how dedication to learning can inspire others to recognise that youth and status are secondary to the humble pursuit of knowledge.
