Year 6 pupils got the chance to participate in the Hackney Junior Citizenship scheme. The aim of the scheme is to help pupils transition smoothly and safely from their last year of primary school to their first in a secondary setting. Pupils enjoyed a variety of workshops which included ones on fire safety, knife crime, sugar intake/healthy eating, road safety and using public transport safely.
Pupils enjoyed the opportunity to visit the Centre and they were thoroughly engaged in the workshops, enabling both Tayyibah Girls’ School groups to win the most points out of schools participating in the same session.
