A prevent workshop was held at school for parents on Wednesday. The workshop explained to parents the importance of keeping our children safe and ways in which we can protect our children from radical and extremist contents online. We would like to thank all the mothers who have taken out time to attend. May Allah reward you in both worlds (Ameen). Tracey Thomas from prevent has been involved with the youth and schools across Hackney and Stamford hill. The aim of the Prevent strategy is to reduce the threat to the UK from terrorism by stopping people being drawn into terrorism, either becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism. Prevent works at the pre-criminal stage by using early intervention to encourage individuals and communities to challenge extremist and terrorist ideology and behaviour.
