During Ramadhaan of 2022, Year 11 pupils once again decided to participate in an active citizenship campaign.
Having raised money to help women and children suffering in situations of domestic abuse a month earlier, the girls decided to turn their attentions to helping fellow Muslims who are suffering.
From the week of April 11th to April 14th, students sold items to pupils throughout the school on a daily basis. As usual, the girls were able to demonstrate their unique entrepreneurial abilities.
The items they sold included bespoke handmade bookmarks, mini iftaar packs, miscellaneous stationery items and balloons. Alhamdu’lillaah, despite being asked to take breaks and cease from selling from a while on order to rest, the girls worked tirelessly, determined to sell every item that their classmates had contributed to the cause.
The hard work and dedication of the Year 11 students paid off and they were able to raise a whopping £667 for the people of Yemen – all during the month of Ramadhaan too maa shaa Allaah!
May Allaah reward these girls for their efforts in this world and the next, ameen.
